We are very excited to have entered into this agreement with the largest operator of taxicabs in the United States. “Transdev was our most sought after customer in the United States and we look forward to a long and mutually successful partnership with this professional organisation,” MTData’s CEO, Matthew Bellizia, said. Our continued investment in new technologies helps the taxi industry compete with emerging threats. This is backed up by staff that truly care about our customers and desire to help them succeed. “This combination continues to pay dividends for us, helping us win large key accounts in the United States,” Mr Bellizia explained. The solution provided by MTData includes a taxi dispatch system, a payment terminal supporting chip and pin technology, and call centre tools, which will be fitted and implemented into every Transdev taxi operation across the United States. Transdev is implementing a centralized call center system to operate their fleet of vehicles and will use MTData’s technology to provide greater efficiencies for its own taxi fleets, as well as for other taxicab companies nationwide that are partners with Transdev. The Transdev implementation will commence with the Yellow Cab fleet in Baltimore, Maryland, set to go live during September 2015, followed by all other Transdev taxi fleets over the following six-month period. Transdev North America is part of Transdev, one of the world’s largest public transport companies, operating 13 modes of transport (bus, BRT, commuter rail, light rail, streetcar, paratransit, shuttle, taxi, black car and more) in 20 countries, with revenues of over US$7 billion (€6.6 billion).
